The point of Order raised was regarding the how the policy manual changes
now affect that bylaw.
Are you making a ruling that this was always the policy but we’ve actually
ignored the bylaws for years and actively told alternates that it wasn’t
required they attend meetings?
That would be quite disturbing if that’s the case and I would want to know
why we flagrantly disregarded the bylaws.
In any event I would appeal sheerly in bylaws grounds. “members” by RONR
definition have full voting rights. Alternates do not.
I can articulate in more detail but IIRC Ms. Mattson already wrote
extensively on this in the past and I hope she can re-post.
