[Lnc-business] Looking for sponsors: Miami Meeting

I'd like to hear more about fundraising opportunity.
We can still have a fundraising event separately from the LNC meeting if we have to, but if there's a benefit to the whole LNC being there (we haven't done much to support the fundraising mission at past events), we should try to support it (by actually participating in the fundraising portion). I think most people just want access to Nick, though, so maybe him plus the local affiliate and LNC reps would be enough to put on an event like that. (I understand Mr. Nekhaila recently took over as chair of LPF... I'm sorry for your loss of social life!)
We don't need to have our LNC meetings in a nice hotel meeting room. We could just as easily meet at any small function hall literally anywhere in the country. I recently secured my local VFW Function Hall (room for 150) for a whole weekend for the LP Massachusetts Convention for an absolute steal, less than half the price of a tiny function room at a La Quinta where we hosted Leadership Institute training for 25 people and only 4 hours. I can only imagine the Marriotts and other hotel chains we have used for meetings are even more expensive than that, hour for hour. There are opportunities out there if we leverage our relationships and especially if we empower our members and local affiliates to leverage theirs on our behalf.
In the future, think we should explore letting it the State Chairs bid on bringing the LNC to town by securing affordable venues for us, in exchange for a reasonable cost / fundraising split. Let them handle the set up and planning. It would reward the most active chapters and provide the lagging ones something to work towards, and the LNC Region Reps a tool to incentivize them with. That being said, if the LNC would like to come to Boston in Q1 2020, perhaps we can test this? St. Patrick's Day or Patriots Day?
Regardless, hoping this Miami trip turns out to be a good opportunity.
Thanks for all you do for the Liberty of others.
-Very Respectfully,
Jeff Lyons

PS I have friends and family in Miami. This personally benefits me but is
NOT what we agreed upon and Mr Bishop-Henchman is absolutely right. We
could have ceded that decision to the chair and did not and I do not agree
to retroactively do so.
