[Lnc-business] why are we actively soliciting refunds

When you say, "we are actively encouraging people to get a refund now."
are you referring to communications coming out of headquarters, or LNC
members posting on social media?
The only thing I've seen officially concerning a refund was an e-mail
sent to the delegates May 12, which included this paragraph:
"If you purchased a convention package and you need to request a refund,
please don't hesitate. We don't want any member of the Libertarian Party
to put themselves into a tough financial situation during this crisis.
If you are in a position where you are able to redirect that package as
a donation to the Libertarian Party, we will use it to support having
our Presidential candidate on every American's ballot and in getting the
Libertarian message to the American people."
When members do ask staff about getting a refund, they are directed to a
website with options to request a refund, donate the payment to ballot
access or the building fund, take half the refund and donate half, or
apply the refund to a future convention. They're also directed to
https://lnc2020.com/category/covid19/ for the latest info. To date there
have been about 33 requests for refunds.
