[Lnc-business] EMAIL BALLOT 200524-01: Authorize Signing of Orlando Contract

Mr.Smith

I will not authorize a bad contract or one with concerns regardless of how
long people have been waiting. The contract needs to be tight and all
issues answered. To rush a contract is to commit suicide. Further the chair
did not say he would not sign to my memory but with all the teller stuff
going on, I may have misheard. He only indicated he would not chair in
Orlando. That is an important distinction

Ms. Harlos,

If that is the intent of the motion, it should not read so ambiguously. The
motion does not mention LNC approval first or if the contract would be
agreeable and only mentions that an officer sign the recommendation. I
cannot support that at this time. Perhaps more dialed in language would be
more favorable however, I also think we should follow our current rules and
at least present the contract to the chair to sign before expanding that
authority to others. Let's get a complete contract, present, then motion if
needed. This motion circumvents established policy without any standing to
do so outside of what is perceived will be the future actions of the chair.

Et all,

If Nick comes in here and says he also will not sign a contract, then I can
consider turning the signing authority over to another person. Right now we
need to focus on the contract and getting it right, not who will sign it.
The time for this is not ripe.
