I'm not sure what the chair thinks he is proving by forwarding only part of
the story to the LNC, as though that was the entirety of the process.
The LNC members on the COC were appointed at the Phoenix meeting on
September 29, 2018. Then on October 6, Mr. Goldstein on behalf of the COC
sent the below email to the LNC chair. Following that, the LNC Chair
completed the other step of the process on November 2.
We were already working with Bette Rose as an "advisor" to the COC before
she was substituted in for Mr. Layda. She attended our meetings, was on
the email list. That made her the obvious choice.

Nick,
The four LNC members of the new COC have agreed that we would like to keep
our team together for this term. There were many great applications
submitted for the three non-LNC positions and we will certainly reach out
to those people as volunteers for Austin 2020. However, the seven of us
worked together well this past term and brought in a record setting
convention at NOLA.
Please reappoint Daniel Hayes, Drew Layda and Ken Moelmann to the COC as
soon as possible since we need to not only start work on Austin 2020 but
also want to begin the RFP process for the 2022 convention. They have each
agreed to serve.
