Thank you Geoff for the offer to reduce the amount of disbursement
by $272.60, but I would rather see each of the donors given the opportunity
to choose what to do with his or her share of any reimbursement funds going
to me. If I'm not allowed to find out the answer to that question and divvy
up the money accordingly, then I will put the funds toward some other
specific purpose that I think will do more good for our cause than simply
letting the money sit in the general fund where it could end up being spent
on anything from meeting snacks to hotel stay reimbursement.
I will concede that saying the intent of the motion was for the
Executive Committee to act seems like a reasonable interpretation.

authority to ACT. The EC can certainly vote to take no action, but I still
say the intent of the motion was for the EC to act.

spent to reimburse extraordinary expenses, I propose that I reduce the
amount of the disbursement from the Chair's discretionary fund from $1,000
to $727.40 if you agree to ask for nothing. After all, all of the other
money was freely given by donors for the express purpose of covering these
extraordinary expenses.

one on the EC can override my usage of the Chair's discretionary fund.
