[Lnc-business] What is joint fundraising, as the FEC defines it?

I think people who have spoken in favor of this like the IDEA of a
fundraising event, but I am concerned that we have a pretty poor track
record of actually making profits on our fundraising events...at least for
the ones I'm aware of.

The David Nolan memorial building fundraising dinner held in December 2011
in Las Vegas lost money, though the LNC was told it broke even.

How much money was raised at the grand opening event last September?
Looking at September financials, it looks like we spent $634.80 on that
event, rather than $400, but can the Treasurer provide us actual figures
for what was raised that night? It sounds nice to say "we probably could
have raised $10,000 if we had done things differently", but that's just a
number pulled out of the air, not a hard fact.

The LNC should always get an event P&L for every fundraising event we do.
If we're losing money at it, we should stop doing them.
