[Lnc-business] Concerns with convention theme bidding process

I definitely wouldn't recommend this fundraising method next time. The
fact is we need funds but this was not a productive way to do it though I
am not a fan of the jumping to malicious conclusions that are being
fomented.

Colorado and Arizona members have voiced complaints. I expect a petition
to bring a motion though honestly it is in the convention committee's hands
and within the prerogative of the Party Chair if he wished to intervene.

On the pro choice thing, that slogan has been party of our party for
years. I'm not pro choice. I am pro life. But I knew what I signed up
for, and it does accurately reflect our Party position. As many people
will be attracted as repelled. I don't think it does anyone any favors to
pretend like we are something we are not. The delegates firmly took a
stand on this issue, and it wasn't one I agree with, but I respect the
process.

But I'm well known for being in favor of deleting the plank thorough the
token process.

I believe the members will choose something appropriate and positive- I
believe the Feldman-inspired theme is presently winning. I put some money
on a positive IMHO choice.

I look forward to having the theme set and seeing what our convention
committee has planned.
