[Lnc-business] Seeking Co-Sponsors: Motion to set the September Meeting Location

The media ignores us....I imagine they would jump all over a story about
how we "had to meet outside, because we couldn't afford an indoor meeting
space". Obviously, this is not the actual case, and meeting outdoors at a
rent-free location would be our choice. However, it could be harmful to our
efforts to raise money, and be taken seriously by folks still wondering
about us.

Yes, we do want to challenge the status quo. Yes, we want to challenge the
mindset that our candidates have wear suits, and have smooth edges, etc...
However, with the approach that has been suggested by Starchild many times,
we are less likely to redefine terms like 'respectable', 'serious',
'professional', 'qualified'....and more likely to affirm what many already
think...that we are *not respectable, not to be taken seriously,
unprofessional, and unqualified* as a political party.

I understand Starchild's points, and I am so grateful for members and
friends who would host us...however, it would take a very unique situation
to make this a viable option, in my opinion.

Rationale: A member in the Phoenix area has indicated that they
     have
the space available, at no charge, to host our meeting. The
     meeting
location has not currently been set and I am unaware of where we
     are at
as far as determining a location. After asking the question last
     week
and getting no official answer, I am now moving to set the
     location
ahead of any official announcement. I would encourage everyone to
review the email Starchild sent to us yesterday which includes
     comments
        from Ernie, the homeowner.
